Who We Are: A Survivor-Led Vision to End Domestic Violence

The Sybil’s Daughter Project was founded by Nneka Agada, who grew up witnessing domestic abuse. Her mother, Sybil Agada, endured years of abuse at the hands of her husband, Nneka’s father, finally escaping after he attempted to take Nneka’s life. That experience drives everything we do.

Advocacy Campaigns

A domestic abuse charity rooted in lived experience and Christian values, we serve people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Support
Networks

Discover our mission to protect women, educate communities and empower survivors towards independence and safety.

Free Legal Support

Facing domestic abuse? The Sybil’s Daughter Project facilitates access to pro bono legal advice. Our network helps women who would otherwise be unable to afford representation to understand their rights and access safety. We help you access confidential support, signposting and advocacy when you need it most.

Education & Outreach

We advance public understanding of domestic abuse through workshops, talks, school outreach, film screenings and dramatic presentations for women, girls and boys across the UK, Nigeria and Ghana. Learn how to recognise the signs of abuse, understand your rights and access support in your community.

Our Work in West Africa

Domestic abuse knows no borders. The Sybil’s Daughter Project relieves the needs of women affected by domestic abuse in the United Kingdom and West Africa, with a particular focus on Nigeria and Ghana, through legal support, advocacy, education and awareness-raising.
